The University of Trento offers fully funded PhD opportunities for international applicants, including Pakistani students, to the Second Call of its 41st-cycle PhD programs in three tracks:

1. Civil, Environmental & Mechanical Engineering
Deadline: 21 August 2025, 16:00 CEST
Scholarships: 16 fully funded positions

- Modelling & Simulation (5)
- Architecture & Planning / Landscape (4)
Applicants from all nationalities, including Pakistan, are encouraged to apply. Fully funded with a tuition waiver and stipend.
2. Culture d’Europa: Environment, Spaces, History, Arts, Ideas
Deadline: 26 August 2025, 16:00 CEST
Scholarships: 2 positions (Historical Studies only)
Fields:
- Studi Storici, Discipline Filosofiche, Scienze dei Beni culturali
Only 2 scholarships for Historical Studies; other areas have no funding in this cycle.
3. Industrial Innovation
Deadline: 26 August 2025, 16:00 CEST
Scholarships: 4 positions
Topics:
- AI for Internal Office Processes
- Satellite-Sensor Interface Optimization
- Sensor-embedded ML Accelerators
- Antenna-coupled FET IR Detectors
PhD candidates will work with Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK) on advanced industrial technology topics.

✅ Eligibility Criteria & Application Process
Eligibility:
- Master’s degree or equivalent (foreign degrees must be recognized by UniTrento)
- Expected completion of degree by Oct 31, 2025, is acceptable with conditional admission.
- International applicants, including Pakistan, are eligible
- Applications reviewed based on qualifications and research profile; interviews may follow
How to Apply:
- Register and fill online via UniTrento’s portal before the deadline
- Select program and at most two curricula, and apply for specific reserved scholarships if desired.
- Upload documents: passport, degree certificates, transcripts, CV, research proposal, language certificate
- Pay €30 via online system before 16:00 CEST on respective deadline
