About the ARISE Project 🌱
ARISE (Amplifying TU Dublin’s capacity for Research & Innovation Supporting Enterprise) is a Government of Ireland and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) backed initiative. Role Overview 💼
This Post-Doctoral Researcher position is a hybrid of academic research and industrial engagement:
1️⃣ Industry-Focused Research
- 🤝 Collaborate with companies to develop sustainable, biodegradable packaging solutions.
- 🧪 Work on commercialisation of films, trays, adhesives, coatings, and sensor-based packaging.
2️⃣ Research Leadership
- 📊 Lead independent research projects in next-generation sustainable packaging.
- 🏗 Align projects with TU Dublin’s Centre for Sustainable Packaging & Bioproducts (CSPB) strengths.
Key Responsibilities 📋
- 🔬 Conduct advanced research on biodegradable films, coatings, adhesives, and composite materials.
- ⚙ Optimise materials using FTIR, DSC, TGA, SEM, and other techniques.
- 🏭 Pilot-scale trials for packaging prototypes.
